DPC Practice Turns Traditional Care on its Head

Meet Impact Family Wellness, a direct primary care clinic in Cedar Park, Texas. The clinic was opened three and a half years ago by Monica McKitterick, FNP-BC, after spending 10 years in the insurance-based system and realizing she’d had enough of it. Seeing 30+ patients a day and spending 3-5 minutes with them was simply not why she went into healthcare.

A bit about the business…

Impact Family Wellness is a Direct Primary Care office that takes care of the whole human instead of the insurance companies. They create actual relationships with patients to ensure optimal health and wellness. By adopting the DPC model, their providers can spend the time they need with each patient to ensure they are treated the way they would want their own family to be treated.
